Welcome to CIC

Welcome to Creatively Insane Community (CIC) Home Page! Consider the following quote by Benjamin Disraeli when considering whether or not you can find some support and add value to this community! ‘Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action’.Also, go exploring on the site and see what’s here that interests, entices and inspires you to join us. In particular, check out the About Us page which helps explain what CIC is all about.

Our Theme

You will probably notice that the design and colours used for this web site are much like a rainbow. We think the theme fantastically and accurately (albeit very colourfully :-) symbolises excactly what the Creatively Insane Community is all about. After all, it’s a black background with a rainbow of colours on it. Just imagine this space being a wonderul black box, filled with a rainbow of crayons for you to open and play with. Also though, the colours of the rainbow are used symbolically to represent peace, diversity, hope and inclusiveness. And, yes that that is what we want! Finally, the rainbow theme is here as it represents the wonderfully magical experience of seeing a rainbow. How many of us yearn and want to head to the other side of the rainbow. So as we grow our community, we may just go exploring, to see if we can find what’s at the rainbow’s end. I’ll bet, it’s beauty, peace, hope, diversity and inclusivity. Come follow the rainbow with us. Or sit and play with the crayons. Do whatever your heart desires. Just be here!

What's New

What's new well pretty much the whole site. Originally I started this community back in 2009 in what I'll call version 1. It wasn't terribly user friendly so were hoping that this version...here we are in 2011 with what is essentially version 3. I think this one's 'a keeper'. That is, it has much of the same content as the previous site but with the added benefit of being much more user friendly.

Also, other than the look and ease of the site, we have decided after much discussion to focus on making this a community aimed at supporting everyone who chooses to join regardless of you origin, ethnicity and gender. Particularly the last one,for some,  gender can be a fixed thing 'you know' who and what you are you. For some others (think laterally here!) you may consider your gender fluid..and that's just fine too. So, if you're comfortable here invite your partners, friends, family etc to join. After all the are your support network and so yes they too are welcome here and are by no means excluded from joining.

I look forward to talking to some of you here on the community web site in the forums section, and not too far in the future meeting you in person, whilst you do the same, meeting, chatting online and perhaps meeting in person new friends at our get togethers. Also a 'Contact Us' section has been added for you to directly email me for those questions or times you don't wish to share with the community. I'm not going to pretend I will always have all the answers there and then, but I will do everything I can to get an answer to your question.

Peace in Mad Times, Martina
